Is a games legal in India?

Trading in goods and services using certain skills in order to make a reasonable and anticipated monetary profit is the normal course of any transaction or business activity. Trading in money and its nature, using little or no skill and relying more on luck to obtain unreasonable and unexpected monetary returns, can be described as "gambling".

In India, the Public Gaming Act of 1867 prohibits the operation or maintenance of a public gambling house or "casino". The penalty for violating this law is a fine of Rs. 200 or imprisonment for up to 3 months.

In addition, this Act prohibits visits to gambling halls. The penalty for visiting an amusement arcade is a fine of Rs. 100 or imprisonment for up to one month.
